I like to describe myself as a scrappy learner, I like to learn and master many different interdisciplinary skills across all of the projects I work on.

    American Society of Mechanical Engineers at UCI - Putting our best foot forward (digitally)

    The American Society of Mechanical Engineers at UCI (ASME) is a club that is dedicated towards advancing and enriching the experience of all engineers at the University of California, Irvine. In order to reduce the friction with onboarding new members and increase the outreach of the club, I took it upon myself to revamp the website as ASME’s 2022-2023 webmaster.   • Steam Controller Synth

    Turning Valve’s Steam Controller into a fully functional Synth, compatible with MIDI files and input devices with full polyphony

    Continuing off of Pila’s work, steamControllerSynth expands and enables the playback of MIDI data from both MIDI files and live playback from input devices. Instead of being limited to one voice per channel, and two total channels, this script implements a dynamically allocating queue in order to fully saturate all haptic motors connected to the computer enabling full polyphony for every MIDI channel, limited only by the amount of Steam Controllers avaiable.

    An open-source gait monitoring solution as a collaboration between the Biomedical Engineering Society @ UCI and the Children’s Hospital of Orange County

    In order to expand my engineering breadth further than my major field of story, I joined the Biomedical Engineering Society and closely worked with them to design an open source gait monitoring solution.

    An opportunity to learn web development and show off my projects all at once

    While I did not need to code a website in order to create a portfolio, it had been years since I had last touched HTML and CSS. I then took this opportunity to brush up my skills while simultaneously creating a space online where I can share and host my projects.

  • ENGITank Sea Life Revival Project

    Saving California’s coastline, one buoy at a time

    Sea Life Revival Project was a design submission for Engineering Student Council’s ENGITank design competition. Through this 10 week design competition, 8 teams race to engineer a product that addresses a modern day issue and compete for a cash prize.

  • linearWinVolume

    A Python implementation of pycaw that doesn’t function on a decibel scale

    In order to linearly interface with Windows’ volume control in a manner that matches the UI’s output, linearWinVolume computes a logarithmic regression from user collected sample data points. From there it optionally applies a linear correction value such that when setting and getting the volume state it is accurate to rougly ~1 unit of Windows volume at all times.
